Native to the east coast of Australia, Lemon Myrtle is a fragrant native Australian shrub that has a unique lemon fragrance and taste. The leaves are plucked by hand and dried before being ground to a fine powder. The citrussy spice is blended with Australian mustard, rosemary and chilli. This seasoning is the perfect combination of flavour and heat. The subtle notes of lemon and rosemary followed by a good kick of chilli makes this our most interesting blend. Good amount of heat. Incredibly flavoursome. Hot sauce in powder form.

The inspo behind this seasoning! Red Snakebush (Hemiandra gardneri) is a prostrate shrub, forming a mat up to two metres in diameter. It flowers attractive bell-shaped dark red to pink flowers and grows in deep sandplains and hills in low Banksia woodlands. In 1995 this species was ranked as critically endangered due to invasive species and spreading fires. There are organisations however that are working very hard to preserve their dwindling numbers.
